Ramattan News: "Israel Won't Be Able to Fortify Sderot"

Ynetnews puts it this way: "Olmert: Sderot fortification won't be extreme." Ramattan is more accurate here?
Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Sunday in the weekly cabinet meeting that Israel has no intention of fortifying every building in Gaza area communities or in Sderot.

the Israeli prime minister added that by the year 2010 Israel will be in possession of an anti-missile defense system, and that certain designated areas will be fortified against Qassam rocket strikes.

"We will provide the residents of Sderot and the Gaza vicinity an appropriate answer through a multilevel system against the Qassam," Olmert said at the start of the weekly cabinet meeting, during which the ministers approved a budget of NIS 327 million (about $91.61 million) for the fortification package, as okayed by a ministerial committee last week.

Olmert said the fortification of the western Negev will be based on a combination of solutions such as the Iron Dome Defense System, an early-warning system, new school buildings and fortification of homes.
The famed "rope-a-dope" strategy . . .
