IRIB: "World affected by Palestinian plight"

This is classic Ahmadinejad. One can only marvel at how his mental landscape seems to be populated by straw-man arguments vaguely discernible through a fog of conspiracy theories:
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Tuesday that all states are somehow affected by the Palestinian plight and global economic and political state of affairs is influenced by this issue.

Speaking in a live TV interview, the President said that due to some threats, a number of countries have opted to sign military contracts.

President Ahmadinejad termed the Holocaust a historical question saying, "If it is true, why they do not authorize research."

He said raising questions in this regard should not be considered harshness.

"This is the point of vulnerability of the West, he said.

Reminding that the root cause of establishment of the Zionist regime was a historical event, he said, the whole issue is fake and is aimed to create a hegemonic system.

"We have told (big) powers that they have established this regime and they themselves should remove it."

"We have even proposed democratic ways such as holding referendum in this respect," he said.
