More coverage of Haniyeh's visit to Iran:
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the supporters of the Zionist regime, especially the US and the UK, are now hesitant about the usefulness and survival of this forged regime.

In meeting with Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniya in Tehran on Saturday, the president added, "The popular government of Palestine should not recognize the occupying regime of the Qods and must support the continuation of Palestinian resistance which will finally lead to the victory for the nation.

The president said, "The imposed pressures of the Zionist regime against people and government of Palestine will not last long and the US, as the most important supporter of the forged regime is weakening and decaying and the conspiracies of the enemies of Islam to shatter the resistance of Palestinian people will be defeated."

"Creating discord among the Shia and the Sunni is a conspiracy of the US and the Zionists and a political game to keep domination over Muslims", Ahmadinejad said.

Ismail Haniya, for his part, said the Palestinian popular government is the result of continued endeavor and the blood of Intifada martyrs in the past years, adding, the Palestinian government emphasizes the inalienable rights of the people to resist against the occupiers and nullification of unjust and cruel agreements with the forged regime by not recognizing the occupying Qods regime.

He referred to the US efforts to create ethnic and religious conflicts and said unity and resistance are the only way to free Palestine.

Visiting Palestinian prime minister also appreciated the efforts and support of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the stance of President Ahmadinejad on Palestine and the support given by the Iranian government and nation for the Palestinian oppressed nation.

"The brave stance of Iran's president is a transparent support of Palestinian cause in international level and will bring honor and glory for all Muslims and encouragement to the Palestinian fighters." Haniya concluded.
