IRNA: "Ahmadinejad declares April 9 as 'Nuclear Technology Day'"

Don't you love holidays? Nuclear Technology Day is no-doubt going to be a really light-hearted holiday. People will drink heavy water. The children will bring home construction-paper centrifuges that they made in school. Juan Cole will write an article explaining that the Farsi for "Nuclear Technology Day" should really be translated as "Vague Aspirations for Cultural Advancement Day." And there will be performances of the "Martyr's Symphony."
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad here on Wednesday designated April 9 as Nuclear Technology Day.

According to administration's Information Council, the date was approved by the president in the 589th meeting of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution.

The report pointed out that April 9 is the day when Iranian scientists succeeded in completing nuclear fuel circle and Iran joined the handful of countries which have access to this technology.
