That's a Relief

Some years ago most of the Duncan Hines cake-mixes (and all of the frostings, I think) became dairy. For those of us who keep cholov yisroel, that means they are completely unuseable. Recently, Duncan Hines announced plans to convert the remaining flavors to dairy. Fortunately, according to Kosher Blog, Manischewitz is "filling the Duncan Hines vacuum." They plan to offer "Extra Moist Yellow" and "Chocolate Pareve" cake mixes in the near future, with other flavors to follow. We can all breathe a little easier now. I hope the Manischewitz ones are nice and chemical-filled like the DH ones were, with all sorts of enzymes, and dough conditioners, and emulsifiers!
