Houston Chronicle: "Reform Jews oppose Alito's nomination"

Members of the nation's largest Jewish denomination voted Sunday to oppose federal appeals court judge Samuel Alito's nomination for the Supreme Court.

The resolution overwhelmingly approved by the Union for Reform Judaism stated that Alito would take an "assertively conservative approach" to deciding cases, shifting the balance (retiring Justice Sandra Day) O'Connor brought the court on myriad social issues.
I wonder if this means they are hoping for a filibuster.
